About Lydia
Thank you for checking out my website. I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself. I am currently working in private practice as a qualified integrative counsellor offering individual counselling and couples counselling. I previously worked as a certified health coach for many years which lead me to a career in counselling. I am also a qualified yoga teacher so I really believe in taking a holistic approach to wellbeing.
I am very passionate about the work that I do having personally struggled with depression, anxiety and crippling self-esteem issues for many years, so I know first hand how debilitating these individual struggles can be on a person.
My personal experience allows me to really understand my clients on a much deeper level which enhances the therapeutic process in a positive and supportive way.
Professional Membership
I am a Registered Member of the BACP (membership number: 00925805) the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy; the professional association for members of the counselling professions in the UK. This is important as I am bound by both their Ethical Framework and Professional Conduct Procedure to ensure I am working professionally, safely and ethically with my clients.
I am fully insured and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
I am also registered with Psychology Today and Counselling Directory.
